Tell us about your career path and how you ended up at SYKE?
I started my career as a lawyer back in 2014 when I graduated from Tilburg University in the Netherlands with an LLM degree in international business law.
I was working in business aviation from the start and got to experience various sides of the legal support from corporate structuring to management and sales of private jets. Eventually I moved to the project management side of things when I was tasked with opening a commercial aircraft operator (read – a mini airline) in San Marino. This allowed me to learn how optimising business processes and applying various tech tools can improve efficiency and day-to-day life of every worker in the company.
Shortly thereafter, I learned about legal tech and got a chance to join SYKE in mid-2019. I started supporting HSBC on their HighQ optimisation and use expansion journey, which I still do today, alongside my account manager duties.
What’s surprised you about working here?
Communication with all colleagues, no matter their level, is easy and seamless. Everyone is always happy to listen, advise and share their experience.
How would you describe the working culture?
It’s very informal – especially compared to working at a large organisation such as HSBC!
