I started my career as a corporate solicitor and went through pretty much every inconvenience a lawyer can possibly encounter in their everyday work. It made me question whether legal work can actually be done in a smarter and more efficient way, and eventually led me to enter the legal tech world.
I worked as a Legal Technologist at two international law firms, where I had the opportunities to work with both internal stakeholders and external clients to implement legal tech and witnessed how big of a difference technology can make to people’s daily life. I really enjoyed the part of my work that’s client-facing and decided to challenge myself with a full legal tech consulting role so here I am!
The Syke values summarise the working culture perfectly – freedom and responsibility. It is all about taking responsibility and doing a good job, and you can do it your own way. You are expected to dive right in and hit the ground running from Day 1, and you will be rewarded with the most exciting opportunities and a great amount of experience.
This might sound cringey but I’m happiest when my clients are happy. Being able to lead client projects, working with smart people in different legal sectors and delivering good work to make clients happy is what I enjoy the most in this job.
