ALISTAIR MAIDEN
CEO and Founder
Alistair founded SYKE in 2016 after developing a passion for legal technology.
He was Head of Contracts and Data Protection Officer for the UK retailer, ASDA. At ASDA, Alistair designed and implemented a digital contracting tool which reduced the average contract cycle from 17 days to just 5 days.
Alistair thought there was a need for legal engineers to be an interface between legal teams and emerging legal tech. So, in 2016, Alistair left ASDA and formed SYKE.


LEWIS BRETTS
Managing Director, United States
Lewis is a former lawyer and a leading expert in legal operations, technology and deployment strategy. He has led consultancy projects and technology deployments for large, and complex, global organisations such as Capita, Amadeus, and Unilever.
As US Managing Director, Lewis is responsible for running LOD and SYKE’s US business having previously been Chief Legal Engineer and COO at SYKE. Lewis oversees delivery of all our projects and is responsible for ensuring we meet the needs of our clients. Lewis joined SYKE from practice at the Commercial Bar where he specialised in information and technology. He was appointed to Attorney General’s panel of counsel in 2018 and acted for central government, large corporates and major retailers.

TOM MELLOR
Chief Delivery Officer
Tom is an experienced programme delivery lead with significant experience delivering both technological and operational change for enterprise clients across the globe including a significant sector-wide banking digital transformation project touching every bank and each of their customers within the UK.
Tom now oversees delivery across all of SYKE’s engagements and ensures our teams deliver exceptional projects where we focus on optimising value as early as possible in the project lifecycle.

ATUL ARORA
Managing Director and Country Head India
With over 19 years of experience, Atul is the overall lead for SYKE India. He joined us from Accenture where he was leading a partnership with DocuSign for UK & Ireland before moving to the Nordics business as SME and DocuSign lead. He was the first in Accenture India to be picked for DocuSign and was the go-to person for all things related to DocuSign. Prior to that, he has worked with IT giants such as Siemens and Atos and delivered success stories to industry majors in the fields of Telecommunications, Broadcast Media, and others.
At SYKE India, he is leading and growing a team of legal technologists, and is responsible for financial management, resourcing, recruitment, and overall P&L.

TYSON BALLARD | Senior Director - Consulting
Tyson has more than 12 years of experience working with in-house legal and law firms, including roles at Clifford Chance, Integreon, YerraSolutions, and more. His consulting background has included legal operations, complex transformation programs, digitisation designs, and technology-enabled continuous improvement to create legal departments of the future. He is Prince II certified, and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, with expertise in developing continuous improvement programs. As a serial entrepreneur, he has founded and co-founded multiple companies in the automotive, hospitality, electronics, and surf industry; all with a sustainable environmental focus.

BOB STOREY | Senior Director - Legal Technology
Bob joins SYKE from financial consultancy firm Duff & Phelps. As part of the Leadership Team at SYKE, he provides commercial input and oversight across SYKE’s practice areas and will help to develop new partnerships, markets and initiatives.
Bob has extensive experience in the enterprise application space, with a diverse background ranging from application and database development, through technical sales and delivery to senior consulting and executive leadership.The bulk of his career has seen him specialise in the legal technology sector, with a focus on corporate legal management providing strategic advisory services on team, technology and process.

JONNY BADROCK | Senior Director - Data Services
Jonny is an expert in delivering and leading legal innovation and automation projects, having previously led the innovation function at global law firm DWF. Jonny leads our data services practice and has a track record of helping clients to enable insight-driven decision making from their data.
Jonny has supported FTSE 100 companies with the implementation of AI technologies and has supported one of the largest global legal technology companies with the development of AI models for its market-leading platform. A lawyer by background, Jonny leads a team of highly skilled legal engineers operating in multiple jurisdictions.

VARUNA GOVINDEN-RUCHCHAN | Senior Director - General Counsel
Varuna was called to the Bar of England and Wales and has practised as a commercial barrister in a leading Legal 500 ranked Chambers in Mauritius before joining a commercial bank in Mauritius as in-house counsel. Her experience includes commercial/banking law, advisory works, contract negotiation, litigation management and risk-management. Having worked in fast-paced and result-oriented environments, Varuna strives in making the SYKE legal department a strategic and key business facilitator.

ANNA LOLUA | Senior Director
Anna is one of the world’s leading experts on HighQ and Contract Express, advising corporate legal teams and law firms on how to procure and implement legal technology. Anna helps bridge the gap between IT and legal, with a proven track record of delivering sophisticated matter management, CLM, process and document automation solutions to all sectors of the market.
Anna has assembled and led legal engineering teams in multiple jurisdictions, is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer and an MBA qualified business consultant.

JAMIE GOLDRICH | Senior Director – Legal Operations Technology
Jamie is an innovative Legal Technology and Operations Director with 5+ years of experience delivering 100+ projects and programmes for 30+ enterprise clients across the legal, compliance, commercial and finance sectors. Head of the Native Solutions practice, Jamie has a particular focus on growing key client accounts.

JAMES KENNEY | Head of Legal Ops and Tech, APAC
James is Head of Legal Ops & Tech at LOD for the APAC region, delivering improvement, technology and change projects for clients.
James works with both LOD and SYKE clients to improve & simplify their legal operations, using his experience in IT & Project Management. James is a Prince 2 Certified Project Management professional with extensive experience providing consulting services to both private practice law firms and in-house counsel on implementing best of breed technology, legal operations strategy and resourcing solutions.

TRAYCE MARCELLE | Head of US - Legal Operations and Technology Consulting
Trayce brings more than 20 years of experience working in client-facing consultative roles related to process improvement, technology implementations and all areas of operations in a wide array of industries such as public sector, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, technology and private sector large scale corporations.
For the past 10+ years, Trayce has focused on optimization and pre/post-transaction consulting for in-house legal for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies such as, Dell and Kraft Heinz, to identify and implement strategies to drive improvement, lower cost and optimize existing infrastructure (both resources and processes/technologies).

SCOTT QUINLIVAN | Delivery Director - Legal Technology Operations
Scott is an experienced project and programme delivery manager, with over 11 years experience working across a multitude of global market sectors and positions, across the entire project delivery lifecycle.
Scott is an individual who is passionate about project delivery and customer success; and is a certified professional.
Scott’s focus will shift from overseeing delivery of a single practice within the business, to a cluster of practices and a variety of technologies.

Anna has spent the majority of her career working in Partnerships for News UK and News Corp, among many other worldwide media outlets. Anna has worked on multi-million pound partnerships for the likes of Aldi, Gap, Nike and Iceland foods. Anna’s key strength is nurturing strategic relationships with stakeholders up to board level within large, corporate businesses. Anna loves the variety that a partnerships role brings and is always looking to go above and beyond what is expected in providing first class account direction, business development and customer service whilst working strategically with customers to meet their needs.

WAYNE LOUBSER | Partnerships Director
Wayne has been in the field of IT Solutions for the last 18 years and has always had a passion for creating and developing solutions for clients. He has spent most of his career working with and for partnership networks within the IT Solutions field and has always had a passion for building and nurturing strategic relationships with stakeholders up to board level within large, corporate businesses.

Marius spent 23 years in corporate and decided to jump ship. Professional experience and skills in strategic thinking, ECM, intelligent automation, low-code application development, design thinking and conversational AI.

MARK REYNOLDS | HighQ Practice Director
Mark’s has led innovation in law firms such as Clifford Chance and Allens Linklaters. He has worked with a wide variety of legal teams in the law firm and corporate space with Thomson Reuters and HighQ, using technology to improve the delivery of legal services. Mark also established the HighQ business in APAC.
Mark has helped legal teams bridge the gap between IT and legal, and has a proven track record of delivering sophisticated matter management, CLM, process and document automation solutions to all sectors of the market. Mark is one of the leading experts on HighQ and Contract Express.
Mark leads a team of skilled legal engineers who work closely with businesses to better understand their challenges and opportunities, and then deliver the necessary solutions.

RAZAAM SHAFQAT | Docusign Practice Director
Razaam joins SYKE after spending 12+ years in a variety of Digital Transformation consulting roles, supporting large-scale enterprises with technology-enabled business change initiatives in Legal, Sales, Procurement, HR and Finance. Nominated by Consulting Magazine as a “Global Leader in Consulting in 2022”, Razaam has burgeoned extensive knowledge of best practices surrounding broad systems implementation, on topics such as optimizing architecture, integration and data management.
Razaam now leads our DocuSign Practice overseeing both Sales and Delivery. The team specialises in implementing the DocuSign Agreement Cloud and helping senior executives navigate complex deployments as it relates to eSignature, Contract Lifecycle Management and AI.

SAGREE CHETTY | Icertis Practice Director
Before joining SYKE, Sagree was a General Counsel for a number of years in different industries, working with multi-disciplinary teams by partnering with business to drive strategy, leading transformation and being the change agent.
She has a strong background and interest in complex commercial transactions, shipping and maritime, property, tax, customs and consulting. Sagree really enjoys the process of developing, implementing and embedding legal, risk, compliance and regulatory systems; her favourite line is “how can we do that better?”

MARK BLORE | Practice Director Ironclad
Mark joined SYKE as an Associate Director in the Icertis department in 2021 and has worked with some of SYKE’s largest clients to deliver CLM solutions on an enterprise level. As a qualified lawyer, Mark is able to understand the requirements of legal teams to the degree needed to implement smart and efficient CLM solutions. As the Practice Director of Ironclad, Mark looks to take advantage of Ironclad’s simplicity-in-implementation to deliver immediate and measurable value to SYKE’s clients.

CLAIRE MCMULLIN | Senior Director - People and Talent
Claire’s career spans over 15 years in the people & organisation space. Prior to joining SYKE, Claire was a Senior Manager at PwC and consulted to clients across the globe on providing innovative people solutions. Claire was one of two PwC Change Manager’s representing the African continent and had the opportunity to travel across Africa as well as Europe training and consulting to clients across different sectors and industries. Claire was also an Executive Director at Siyakha Consulting where she focused predominately on Broad-Based Economic Empowerment strategies that would uplift South African communities and the economy.
Claire has a Postgraduate Degree in Industrial Psychology and Anthropology and is completely focused on creating and maintaining a people-first focus at SYKE.
